CLEARVIEW – The Clearview Township Parks, Culture & Recreation Department, along with Mayor Doug Measures were pleased to accept two 2019 awards from Festivals & Events Ontario (FEO) for the Clearview Small Halls Festival during the awards ceremony held at the annual FEO conference on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020.

The annual Small Halls Festival was presented with the Top 100 Award for the fourth year running in addition to the Achievement Award for Sponsor of the Year in conjunction with Tim Hortons (in the budget of $100,000 or less category). This is the second consecutive year that the event and a festival sponsor have been presented with this award.

Festival sponsors have been a big part of making the Small Halls Festival a success since it’s inception in 2014, “Tim Hortons Stayner, Sunnidale Corners, & Creemore have been a valuable partner to the Small Halls Festival. They recognized the significant contributions that volunteers make to the Festival and have been supporting the “Hallunteers” for 6 years. Clearview is grateful to have many terrific corporate citizens in our community.” Said Mayor Doug Measures.

As Amanda Murray, Community, Culture and Tourism Coordinator, puts it, “Being recognized as a Top 100 Festival and Event in Ontario for the fourth consecutive year has meant that the Small Halls Festival is part of an extraordinary group of festivals that provides quality programming for visitors and our residents in Clearview Township.”

She notes that the festival continues to evolve every year, stating “We strive to elevate the experience each year by offering new entertainment, unique culinary events, and family-friendly activities. The recognition from Festivals & Events Ontario as an FEO Top 100 Award winner will be shared with the volunteers, community partners, sponsors and most importantly, the Hall Boards that help to make the Small Halls Festival in Clearview a success!”

Save the date, the 2020 Small Halls Festival is taking place on Oct. 1 to 4 in community halls throughout Clearview Township. Stay updated with programming announcements and festival updates by visiting the award-winning festival website, www.smallhallsfestival.ca
