Rotary Club drops off $1,600 in groceries for free food pantry

The outdoor cupboard at the Collingwood Youth Centre is kept stocked and open 24/7 for anyone to take the food they need

A local service club answered a call for supplies for the 24/7 community food pantry by delivering $1,600 worth of groceries this weekend.

The Rotary Club of Collingwood South Georgian Bay, one of the supporters of the Project Butterfly food bank, dropped off the food and hygiene items on Saturday, all of which will be use to re-stock the pantry, which is accessible anytime for people who need to take food, and for those who want to donate items.

Project Butterfly is also supported by Elephant Thoughts and Environment Network. It is located in the parking lot at the Collingwood Youth Centre, and it opened in March, 2022.

You can drop off donations in the pantry anytime.
