On June 8, 2023, The Hodgson Group of RBC Dominion Securities will host Retirement Expo 2023 at the Georgian Bay Hotel and Conference Centre in Collingwood.
The event is designed for those planning for, or already enjoying, retirement, along with newcomers to Collingwood and the surrounding area.
“Collingwood saw an influx of newcomers after COVID-19 hit in 2020, and some of them may not yet have had the opportunity to meet people and get involved in our community,” said Karen Burland, one of the event organizers.
This special event runs from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., and features guest speaker Dr. Riley Moynes, the best-selling author of The Four Phases of Retirement: What to Expect When You’re Retiring and The Money Coach. Dr. Moynes will guide attendees through an hour-long workshop covering the four phases of retirement. Attendees will receive a copy of his book, as well as valuable information to help navigate retirement.
Following the presentation, attendees will have the chance to do some networking, and to learn about organizations that promote activities, as well as social and volunteer opportunities in and around our community.
