Puck drops for Collingwood's hockey weekend (13 photos)

Here are some photos from the celebrity sledge hockey game on Friday, Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena.

The Frozen in Time Festival began yesterday, but was off to a rainy start.

Indoors, skaters took to the ice at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena for a public skating session. In the evening, Tara Slone, host of Hometown Hockey, dropped the first puck for a celebrity sledge hockey exhibition game.

Scott Thornton, former NHL player, and Mayor Brian Saunderson were captains for each team, which was called by Ben McCully of 97.7 Max FM.

Festivities continue today and tomorrow with Hometown Hockey events, ice sculpture carving competitions and family-friendly activities. For a full schedule of events, click here
