The Osprey Snow Hawks Snowmobile Club generously committed to a $10,000 pledge beginning in 2016 to the Collingwood G&M Hospital Foundation. Their generous commitment will fund new patient recliners for the Hospital’s Transfusion Unit.

Club President Tim Wickens, along with Fundraising Co-Chair Paul Bonwick visited the Hospital this week with their final instalment on the pledge of $3,333.

Patients come to the Transfusion Unit for outpatient treatments such as blood transfusions or intravenous antibiotics. Due to the nature of the treatment, patients often spend hours in the department. Their comfort during treatment is always a concern. The Osprey Snow Hawks donation will replace recliners that are up to 10 years old.

The Osprey Snow Hawks are a recreational snowmobile club made up of a regional group of volunteers who govern and maintain snowmobile trails to ensure that safety is a top priority. Their commitment to this important hospital improvement is a testament to their interest in the health and safety of the recreational community.

Osprey Snow Hawks President, Tim Wickens said, “our Club and its volunteers remain committed to providing a safe family snowmobiling environment for our region. Co-Chair of Fundraising Paul Bonwick stated the following, “Our Hospital is always there for us when we need it. It is for this reason the executive is proud to support their excellent work in service to our community.”

The Collingwood G&M Hospital Foundation extends a sincere thank you to the Osprey Snow Hawks.
