Online reservations required for Collingwood's outdoor rink

Starting tomorrow, you'll have to pre-book a skating slot
Collingwood Outdoor Rink2
Central Park outdoor rink, Collingwood.

A week after opening the outdoor rink, the Town of Collingwood is adjusting the way it manages the lineup of skaters.

Starting tomorrow (Jan. 6) anyone wishing to skate on the rink at Central Park will have to reserve a spot online first.

The town is allowing people to book for the same day or next day skating. Anyone booking will require a recreation account on the town website to sign up for a time slot.

All skaters are required to be registered by name before stepping onto the ice.

Skaters will be limited to one 50-minute session per day, due to demand, according to the town's website.

The rink remains available for residents of Simcoe-Muskoka only.
