A dog that once wished CollingwoodToday readers a good morning has gone missing.

Yesterday, five-year-old Australian Shellie cross Freya went missing while on a river walk at County Road 33. She had a ball when she disappeared and her owners Peter and Juanita Hodgson say it’s uncharacteristic of her to run off.

“Everyone in town knows her as I walk through Olde Towne to Hurontario Street every day,” said Juanita, adding Freya takes treats from some downtown businesses.

Freya, was swimming at Sunset Point with her dog sitter when she was captured by CollingwoodToday reporter Erika Engel for a Good Morning photo in May, 2019. The Good Morning photos run every morning on CollingwoodToday with a weather forecast.

If you spot Freya, do not chase, call or whistle to her. Call 705-446-7190 to let her owners know where you spotted her.
