The 100 Men Who Care South Georgian Bay club formed in Jan. 2018, and has donated $50,000 to local charities since then.

A group of men have found common ground with a simple philanthropic mission: to donate $100 to a charity of the group's choosing.

The 100 Men Who Care South Georgian Bay recently donated $7,800 to Out of the Cold Collingwood.

Since forming in January 2018, the group has met six times and collectively donated $50,000 to local charities. The goal is to be able to have 100 members at each meeting for a total $10,000 donation.

The group includes male members from 25 to 90 years old. Meetings have been virtual since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the next meeting is in May.

The group is volunteer-driven and was founded by Jarvis Strong. You can email him for details to join at [email protected]. The group's website is 100menwhocaresgb.ca.

There is a local 100 Women Who Care group as well, and their next meeting is March 24. For more, visit 100womensouthgeorgiantriangle.com.
