MINESING - Do you have a memory of your first experience in Canada? This March Break discover what the first impressions of immigrants were the moment they stepped onto Canadian soil.

Explore our galleries and learn about the experiences of immigrants to Canada, from Confederation to present day, with the Canada: Day 1 exhibition. Make a keepsake box to store your memories and evaluate your own possessions to reveal the items most dear to you.

Canada: Day 1 is a travelling exhibition produced by the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 as a legacy project of our nation’s 150th anniversary and is supported by the RBC Foundation. It will be on display at the Simcoe County Museum until April 15, 2018. Come and see it before it’s gone!

Event rates apply: Museum members and preschoolers are free, adults $8, seniors/youth $6, children $5. No registration is required.

For more information on this event, contact the Simcoe County Museum at (705) 728-3721 or click here.
