Living Water Resort breaks ground on retirement residence

New building in the resort area will include 129 long-term rental units for seniors and retirees

By next summer, Living Water Resorts aims to complete construction on a new retirement residence off Highway 26.

With the official groundbreaking ceremonies tomorrow, Living Water's founder and CEO, Larry Law, is promoting the build as an answer to a question he asks himself frequently: 'what more can I do for my community?"

"In my heart, I know this project will make a meaningful contribution to our four-season paradise and the community at large," said Law in a news release from Living Water Resort.

The new building, which will be on the resort property located off Keith Avenue and Highway 26, will include 129 rental units for seniors and retirees. There will also be 13,000 square feet of amenity space for dining, lounges, and fitness facilities for the exclusive use of Living Water Retirement Home residents.

The project is estimated to be complete by the summer of 2024, and will include an increase in the tree canopy on the site from 15 per cent coverage to 48 per cent.

"This project is a good contribution, especially when discussing complete communities," said Law in the news release. "We'll provide genuine care for seniors, physical, mental and spiritual, in a unique resort living community."
