(MIDHURST, ON) - Jeff Kerk, 36, current Director of Diagnostic Services at Georgian Bay General Hospital and Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, announced today he will be seeking the Liberal party’s nomination to run for the Member of Provincial Parliament seat representing Barrie-Springwater-Oro Medonte.

Jeff holds an Executive Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration. He is a Certified Healthcare Executive and a Green Belt Project Management Professional. He was a Medical Radiation Therapist in his early career before moving into healthcare administration.

Jeff resides in Midhurst with his wife Angela and young children Julia and William. Angela and Jeff chose the Springwater area to raise their family due to the opportunity in the region.

They also appreciate the close connection to Angela’s rural upbringing at her family farm and Jeff’s family in Tiny Township.

Jeff is a family-oriented Canadian looking to bring a positive change to Ontario. He is truly interested in representing the middle-class and in building progressive caring communities that are inclusive for all.

“It’s time to get back to positive and focused policies,” said Kerk.  “We need to continue our investments in services and programs that are progressive, inclusive and caring. The environment is an important consideration as Barrie, Springwater and Oro-Medonte continue to expand at accelerated rates and we need to ensure this is done in a safe and purposeful manner.”

Jeff envisions an Ontario that continues to build on the successes seen by the Ontario Liberal Party while working closely with his constituents and the other parties to ensure all stakeholder interests are heard.
