International Women's Day is Thursday. Here are some local events to help celebrate the day.
March 8:
Women entrepreneurs networking event presented by the Small Business Enterprise Centre and Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs. The event will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m, and will include networking, a keynote speaker and a meal. This is an annual Women’s Day event, held this year at Sol Kitchen.
March 10:
Amnesty International is hosting a screening of In the Crossfires: Louise Arbour & The Battle for Human Rights. This 43-minute documentary shows Arbour’s work for the United Nations. Admission is $5 and the event begins at 1:30 p.m. a the L.E. Shore Memorial Library in Thornbury.
