Hospice Georgian Triangle (HGT), alongside the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA), is inviting all individuals in South Georgian Bay to participate, share and reflect on the importance of relationships past and present on National Bereavement Day, Nov. 20, 2018.

The CHPCA is hosting a digital campaign utilizing the hashtag #GriefDay18 to initiate a discussion on a national level through various social media outlets.

The CHPCA encourages all Canadians to step up to the challenge and talk to friends, family and co-workers about their experiences and journeys through grief and bereavement.

Staff and volunteers at HGT will pause to reflect on the losses felt by those in our community and we want to extend support to those in need. HGT’s Lighthouse Integrated Care team is here to support you through individual and group-based support programs. Grief is a difficult journey you don’t need to face alone.

For more information regarding HGT’s free Grief and Bereavement services, please contact Heather Goodwin, Integrated Care Coordinator at 705-444-2555, extension 7524.
