LIVING WISH FOUNDATION

The Cal Patterson Memorial Hockey Tournament involves 14 teams in three divisions, with 220 women enjoying one fun weekend for the whole family!
This women’s tournament has quickly become a highlight for both beginner and experienced female hockey players from across the region.
With the help of a team of community volunteer organizers, the event promotes growth of the sport for women and girls, camaraderie, fun and friendly competition, all while raising funds to support the Living Wish Foundation.
Make sure to bring your kids, as we will have a kids’ zone, complete with poster making so the kids can cheer on their moms.
The tournament takes place April 26 and 27 at Central Park Arena in Collingwood and the money raised will be donated to the Living Wish Foundation.
The Living Wish Foundation is a charitable organization founded in 2018 that offers medically supervised and supported end-of-life wishes to people in the South Georgian Bay region who are in their final year of life. Think of Make a Wish Foundation, but for adults.
Prior to establishing the Living Wish Foundation, no other organization like this for adults existed in Canada. These wishes not only offer hope to the patient but also provide positive memories that their families can cherish for years to come. What would your wish be?
Make sure to be there on Friday at 3:30 p.m. for opening ceremonies, where we will cut a cake celebrating 100 wishes granted right here in your community.
Puck drop happens at 4 p.m., then the magic begins; amazing hockey, a kids’ zone, silent auction, 50/50 draw, cocktail lounge, DJ and more! Shout out to our BIG sponsors, the Town of Collingwood, Collingwood Boston Pizza, and our local Optimist Club.
