The public are advised that His Majesty’s Canadian Ship Star, a Naval Reserve Division based in Hamilton, Ont., will conduct a small boat exercise in Collingwood, Ont. on April 6 to 7, 2024.
Members of Collingwood Fire Services and Collingwood police (OPP) will be taking part in the exercise.
During this routine training event, the public can expect to see an increased military presence near Millennium Park, including the deployment of multiple vehicles, small boats, and trailers. Members of the public are asked to take extra caution when approaching the area and are thanked in advance for their understanding and co-operation.
Small boat exercises provide our sailors with the opportunity to confirm readiness, particularly in the areas of safe boat operations, radio communications, and navigation.
