Thornbury Olde Fashioned Christmas

On Dec. 9 enjoy the 47th annual Olde Fashioned Christmas downtown Thornbury with carriage rides, art activities, a tree lighting, live music and carollers, visits with Santa, fire pits, street entertainers, and a dance party. Events start at 1 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m. on Bruce Street.

Kitchen Party Christmas

Join Shipyard Kitchen Party on Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity United Church for an evening of holiday music, storytelling and comedy, with special guests from their past musicals and concerts, including Craig Ashton (formerly of the Canadian Opera Company and the Canadian Tenors) and singer-songwriters Emily Power and Jason Redman. Proceeds from the show will go to support the Trinity Food Program.

Creative Simcoe Street Christmas

Creative Simcoe Street Christmas takes place Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 65 Simcoe St. where local artists, galleries and restaurants will open their doors. The work of more than 30 artists will be featured.

Cold Hands Warm Hearts Fundraiser

A fundraiser in support of the Collingwood Mobile Soup Kitchen at the Corner Cafe and Grill on Dec. 10 from 2-4 p.m. Photo ops with Santa, raffles, and donations accepted. Donations can include cash; easy to open food items such as soup, oatmeal cups, granola bars; warm mitts, hats, socks, and blankets; first-aid supplies; feminine products.

Indigenous Art Show and Sale

Shorelane Arts presents a unique exhibition of original Indigenous paintings, many in the Woodland Cree Style. Show takes place at 1958 Shore Lane in Wasaga Beach Dec. 8 and 9 from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
