Collingwood Cenotaph’s 100th Anniversary

On Saturday, Aug. 5 at 11 a.m., there will be a birthday event for the Collingwood cenotaph in front of the Collingwood Museum. Attendees are asked to bring birthday balloons.

Electric Eclectic

Electric Eclectics returns Aug. 4 to 5 with its classic camping-and-concerts weekend at the Funny Farm outside of Meaford, Ont., featuring the Berlin duo Alexander Hacke and Danielle de Picciotto, Thereminist Dorit Chrysler, Hot Garbage, Glass Orchestra founding members Miguel Frasconi and Eric Cadesky and many more adventurous and experimental performers and artists.

Country Vibe Concert Weekend

Blue Mountain Village will be hosting country musicians from Aug. 4 to 7 at the Subaru Stage.

Meaford Summer Fest

The second annual Meaford Summer Fest will be running Aug. 5 in Meaford’s downtown. The free family-friendly event will include a dog parade in honour of Meaford’s favourite dog, Beautiful Joe, a poutine-off and a viewing of classic cars lined up along Meaford waterfront.

Collingwood Farmer’s Market

The Collingwood Farmer’s Market runs on Aug. 5 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pine St. public lot. Local vendors feature a wide range of organic vegetables and fruit, baking, meats and cheeses, flowers and trees, jams and preserves, handcrafted items and more.
