NEWS RELEASE
TOWN OF COLLINGWOOD

Be a part of Community Cleanup Days and lend your support to building a litter less community. Community Cleanup Days begin on Earth Day, April 22 and run until the Provincial Day of Action on Litter, May 14.

Whether you are out for a walk on the trails or spending time in a local park, consider joining this year’s efforts to help keep Collingwood litter free.

Residents can pick up garbage bags and gloves from the Collingwood Public Library, 55 Ste Marie St. or at Town Hall, 97 Hurontario St. during regular business hours beginning Monday, April 22.

When you are finished your garbage pickup, you can leave the bags collected in or beside a green Town of Collingwood garbage bin and Town staff will collect.

Your safety is important, please take the necessary precautions and review the safety tips listed at www.collingwood.ca/communitycleanup.

Consider creating a team cleanup at work or as part of a community group/organization.

Thank you for the early support from EPCOR, Crozier: Consulting Engineers, Parkbridge and the Collingwood Clippers Swim Club.

Are you up for the challenge? Town staff will provide garbage bags, gloves and arrange for pickup; reach out to Jennifer Parker at [email protected].

We all play an important role in protecting our environment.
