Grey-Bruce Health Unit reports 20 new COVID cases Wednesday

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 20 new COVID cases today, including two in Grey Highlands and one in The Blue Mountains. 

Also included in the latest report were: five cases in Kincardine, three in Saugeen Shores, two in Huron-Kinloss, two in Owen Sound, one in Brockton, one in South Bruce Peninsula, one in West Grey, and two without location information. 

Six people from the Grey-Bruce Region have been hospitalized. 

There are 410 active confirmed cases in the region. There are 23 active cases in The Blue Mountains, 25 in Grey Highlands, and eight in Meaford. 

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 3,354 cases confirmed in the region with 2,916 now recovered and 16 deaths reported. 

Of those eligible for a COVID vaccine (anyone aged five years old and above) 25 per cent have three doses of a vaccine, another 51 per cent have two doses of a vaccine, four per cent have one dose, and 20 per cent are unvaccinated.
