Issued at 2023-11-07 4:26 p.m. by Environment Canada:
Freezing rain warning issued for:
Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake
   Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
Owen Sound - Blue Mountains - Northern Grey County
Listowel - Milverton - Northern Perth County
Mount Forest - Arthur - Northern Wellington County
Innisfil - New Tecumseth - Angus

Current details:
Freezing rain is expected Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Hazard:
Ice build-up of 2 to 5 mm on some surfaces.

Timing:
Wednesday afternoon into the evening.

Discussion:
An approaching low pressure system is expected to bring snow, rain and freezing rain to the area. Precipitation may begin as snow Wednesday afternoon and quickly transition to freezing rain before slowly changing to rain Wednesday evening.

Ice build-up is expected to be variable as the ground is still relatively warm, limiting ice build-up.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
