UPDATED: Fire alarm causes library evacuation

Library opened its doors again at about 3:30 p.m. on Monday

The Collingwood Library was evacuated Monday afternoon in response to a fire alarm in the building.

Collingwood Fire arrived on scene at about 3:15 p.m. to assess the cause of the alarm.

"Just a faulty detector went off," said Collingwood Fire Chief Ross Parr when reached for comment.

The library doors opened again at about 3:30 p.m. once the firefighters determined the alarm was false.
