COLLINGWOOD SPORTS HALL OF FAME

After a two-year hiatus, the 23rd bi-annual Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame is preparing for the return of the induction ceremonies at the Collingwood Legion to welcome its Class of 2020 inductees.
Our featured guest speaker, retired hockey referee, Kerry Fraser, returns to Collingwood where he played for the Collingwood Blues in their inaugural season in OHA Central Jr. B League. Arguably the most recognized man in stripes—for his “perfectly coiffed hair,” he is the guy that most hockey fans love to hate!
Kerry will be sharing stories that span 1,904 regular-season games (most in history), 261 Stanley Cup playoffs, selection to 12 Stanley Cup Finals, the 1996 World Cup of Hockey in Europe and North America; the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan; two NHL All-Star games; and the 2010 Winter Classic on New Year’s Day in Boston’s historic Fenway Park.
Following a storied officiating career, Kerry authored the best-selling book entitled The Final Call. We look forward to an evening of hard-hitting and entertaining NHL stories from the inside on his return to Collingwood; where the journey began.
The event takes place May 14, beginning at 5 p.m. with cocktails and the parade of inductees starts at 6 p.m.
This year's honourees include David Christie, Patty Federer, Bill Redick, and Fern St. Onge.
Tickets for the ceremony are $50, and proceeds from ticket sales go to support the continued operation of the Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame.
