Update 3:00 p.m. – Power has been restored to affected homes and businesses in Collingwood. EPCOR reported there were 8,214 customers in Collingwood and the surrounding area without power.
The power outage lasted approximately two hours. Several businesses in Collingwood closed for the day, and the Collingwood Public Library announced it would be closed for the rest of today.

EPCOR has reported an unscheduled power outage affecting customers in Collingwood and surrounding area.
EPCOR says that the Central Portion of their staff along with HydroOne staff are working on restoring power. They are estimating that power will be out for one to three more hours.
