Colts will play pre-season game on Collingwood ice

The Colts will host the Sudbury Wolves at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena Sept. 4.

The Eddie Bush Memorial Arena will host an Ontario Hockey League exhibition game to break in the new score clock.

The Barrie Colts are coming to Collingwood for a pre-season match-up against the Sudbury Wolves.

Jim Payetta, Colts co-owner and VP of business development and marketing, said this is a one-off game during the team’s pre-season play to bring the game to fans living in Collingwood.

The Colts are allowing Collingwood Minor Hockey to run a 50/50 draw fundraiser that night with all proceeds going back to local minor hockey.

Collingwood recently purchased the score clock that used to hang in the Barrie Molson Centre and was used by the Colts for all their home games. The Colts upgraded to newer technology and offered the clock to Collingwood. It has since been installed and will be used for the exhibition game.

Tickets for the game range from $13 to $16 and can be purchased online here, or at the door while they last. The game will start at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena.
