Collingwood soccer club accepting equipment for Ukraine

Today is the last day to donate gently used soccer boots/cleats and shin guards to Soccer 4 Ukraine

Collingwood United Soccer Club (CUSC) is proud to join a growing list of Ontario youth soccer organizations supporting Soccer 4 Ukraine!

Soccer 4 Ukraine is a non-profit support group providing free soccer camps and club registrations for children aged 8 to 14 years who’ve recently come to Canada from war-torn Ukraine.

Soccer offers these young children welcomed relief from the harsh reality of having lived through an unprecedented crisis and finding themselves in a completely new country.  The beautiful game can help build resilience to the trauma, lift spirits enormously, and aid in the adjustment to life in Canada. Best of all – it allows kids to be kids again!

Collingwood United Soccer Club is extremely pleased offer its support with a nearly week-long Soccer 4 Ukraine Boot/Equipment Drive – June 20 through June 23.

Club members are invited to donate any “gently used” soccer boots/cleats and shin guards to Soccer 4 Ukraine. The biggest need is for players aged 8 – 11.

Used equipment donations may be made at the CUSC Fisher Field storage area (near pitches F6/F7/F8). Let’s use the power of the beautiful game to make a difference!

Sincerest thanks to all for their support and show of solidarity with the people of Ukraine - most of all the children who’ve made the journey to Canada.   Soccer 4 Ukraine also thanks you for your kindness, generosity, and support.  \
