Collingwood-born photographer home for library talk

Leah den Bok will be signing books and speaking at the library on May 8, with proceeds to Home Horizon

Leah den Bok, who now lives in Spain, was a local resident known for her artistic photographs of people experiencing homelessness.

A former Collingwood resident, now living in Spain, Leah den Bok is back home this week for a special event in support of local agencies tackling homelessness. 

The photographer and winner of the Clerkson Award, has been taking pictures of people experiencing homelessness and has published books of the photos as a way of telling their stories through art and bringing awareness to the issue. 

Den Bok is giving a talk at the Collingwood Public Library on Monday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. She will be selling and signing her books, and the profits will be donated to Home Horizon and the Barbara Weider House.
