Collingwood Blues one win away from Buckland Cup

It's Collingwood vs. Trenton again heading into game six of the OJHL playoff final series

The Collingwood Blues celebrate a goal during the first period of their March 25 game.

The Collingwood Junior A Blues could keep the Buckland Cup trophy they won last year, they just need to win one more game.

They've got two chances to do it, one at home.

The Collingwood Blues are heading into game six of the seven-game playoff finals for the Ontario Junior Hockey League. It's a near-perfect match to last year's final series between the Blues and the Trenton Golden Hawks. Both teams are again facing off in the finals, last year the Blues won the series in game six, but it was a home game.

This year, game six is in Trenton. The Blues won a home game on Friday in front of a sold-out crowd to take the lead in the series three games to two. Trenton has won both the games they hosted.

If Trenton wins game six on Monday night, game seven will be in Collingwood on May 1 and the winner will take the Buckland Cup and a spot in the Centennial Cup national junior hockey tournament.

The puck drops in Trenton on April 29 at 7:30 p.m., and, if need be, it drops in Collingwood at the Eddie Bush Arena on May 1 at 7 p.m.

The Blues won 5-4 in game one, 4-0 in game two, and 7-2 in game five. Trenton won 5-4 in game three and 3-1 in game four, both at Duncan Memorial Gardens.
