The Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) was delighted to accept a cheque for $1,500 from ARO Technologies Inc for the GTHS Virtual Walkathon Your Way, happening August 5th – 12th.

ARO Technologies Inc. is based in Collingwood and provides quality industrial automation services to a variety of industries (automotive, commercial manufacturing, municipalities, ski resorts and more).  ARO Technologies Inc.’s partners Stephen Agar, Richard Redpath and Bill Owens made the decision to contribute to the event as a way to give back to the community and support the welfare of animals during the COVID pandemic.

Without any form of government funding, the GTHS relies heavily on Pet Partners like ARO Technologies Inc. to fund essential programs designed for the wellbeing of people and pets.  Funds generated by the GTHS Walkathon Your Way will take care of a growing number of animals coming to the GTHS for help during times of financial uncertainty. The event has taken on a new format as a virtual walk so that people and their pets can participate in their own unique ways while practicing social distancing.  To learn more about the event, visit: https://www.gths.ca/friends-for-life-walkathon-2020/
