The Collingwood Climate Action Team (CCAT) invites you to Electrify Your Ride on Thursday June 16 from 6-8 p.m. in the Pine Street parking lot downtown Collingwood.

Electric Vehicle (EV) and e-bike owners will be on hand with their favourite rides for you to look under the hood, "kick the tires" and have your questions answered. The pros and cons of EVs and e-bikes, the realities of charging at home and on the road, and the costs (and more importantly the savings) are some of the things that those considering EVs and e-bikes want to know.  This will be an excellent opportunity to learn from those who have experience with electric transportation.

The EVent will also have Little Ed’s Bike Shop and Georgian Trail E-Bikes on hand to discuss their new rental services. It is being hosted by CCAT with the support of the Downtown BIA and the Town of Collingwood and will take place in the northwest corner of the lot beside the newly installed EV chargers.

CCAT is a local charitable organization whose mission is: "working with local communities to reduce our carbon footprint."

Addressing the climate crisis requires us to eliminate our dependence on fossil fuels. Moving ourselves actively, and when needed with electricity, are important ways we can take climate action. The future of transportation is electric and coming to Collingwood June 16.
