Clearview Township is delighted to announce the 2022 Culture and Sports Hall of Fame Award winners, honoured at the Hall of Fame Awards ceremony at the Stayner Community Centre on June 20, 2023.
The award recipients are nominated by fellow community members in nine distinct categories for making a positive impact on the sports and cultural community in Clearview.
Mayor Doug Measures was proud to recognize Clearview’s outstanding community members.
“We are blessed in Clearview Township to have a culture of competitive sports and talented artists. Congratulations to the nominees and award recipients on behalf of council and all in our community.”
Awards were presented to the following recipients by Clearview Township Mayor Doug Measures, director of parks and recreation Terry Vachon, and community culture and tourism co-ordinator Amanda Murray:
- Athletic Achievement Award — Brady Eggleton
- Athlete of the Year Award — Chris Greer
- Builder Award — Thomas Macham
- Community Volunteer Award — Carol Vaughan
- Festival and Event Award — Great Northern Exhibition
- Artist Achievement Award — Kathleen Salvador
- Team of the Year Award — Stayner Siskins, 2021-2022
The legacy awards are on display in the atrium of the Stayner Community Centre and Stayner branch of the Clearview Public Library. In addition, the parks and recreation department is happy to unveil the new Hall of Fame kiosk to recognize current and past members of the Clearview Hall of Fame and to welcome visitors to learn more about the outstanding contributions of community members.
