Collingwood’s circus club is opening its doors for a try-it-out day this weekend.

On Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. you can try out various circus disciplines like aerial silks, hoops, and more. Email [email protected] to register.

Then, on March 14, Collingwood Circus Company is celebrating an expansion at their Barrie Circus School with an open house event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Instructors will be offering free classes to all ages. There will be cotton candy, stilt walkers, and live aerial performances.

The Circus Company has been operating in Collingwood for eight years, and in Barrie for two years.

The Collingwood location is on Sandford Fleming Drive, and the Barrie location is at 40 Bellfarm Road.

The circus family at Collingwood Circus Company recently lost a friend and performer to cancer, so the open house event will be dedicated to her memory. There will be a donation box at the event for anyone who wishes to make a donation toward the Canadian Cancer Society.
