Football and golf will mix again this year during an annual charity sports event.

The Damon Allen Celebrity Golf Tournament takes place this week at Blue Mountain, complete with a visit from Canadian football hall-of-famer Damon Allen.

This will be the 16th annual event, and it will, as usual, include a full golf game as well as three meals for participants.

The event has reduced the number of spaces to 80 (down from 144) and has increased the price of admission due to reduced participation. The event also includes an online auction this year.

Money raised at the event is donated to the Blue Mountain Village Foundation, which regularly supplies grants to area charities and organizations.

The golf tournament takes place at Monterra Golf Course on Sept. 25. You can register online here.
