NEWS RELEASE
TOWN OF COLLINGWOOD
*************************
The Town of Collingwood presents On The Water We Love, a multi-week celebration of nature’s gift to our community and all who inhabit it. Taking place August 6th through Sept. 12 and inspired by World Water Week (Aug. 23 –27) and Sidelaunch Days (postponed in 2020 and 2021), we salute our own community’s historic love and appreciation of water-based activities, while bringing together culture, arts, and heritage.

On the Water We Love will take you on a journey of discovery and recognition of life-giving water along the Collingwood shoreline exploring themes of water ecosystems, water and industry, water and recreation, water access, water safety, and water conservation and our duty of care for its future. Take the journey in person or online.

The interactive trail markers span Collingwood’s breathtaking shoreline and address the event themes through information, music, poetry, photography, and visual art. Can’t visit in person? Take the tour virtually at www.collingwood.ca/onthewater.
