Collingwood's town council will mark the beginning of 2020 with the Mayor's New Year's Levee and a celebration of the town's volunteers.
The annual Mayor's New Year's Levee takes place Sunday, Jan. 5, and will include presentations of the Order of Collingwood and Companion to the Order of Collingwood.
The awards are given out annually to volunteers, nominated by others, who regularly contribute to the betterment of the community through their volunteer work.
The event will take place at Georgian Bay Hotel and Conference Centre and will run from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a reception to follow. All are invited.
