Canadian hits by the bay (12 photos)

Collingwood's Canada Day celebrations moved from downtown to the shore of Georgian Bay with outdoor concerts at Millenium Park

Collingwood's Canada Day celebrations continue today with an outdoor party at Millenium Park including family games in the field, live music, and food vendors.

Several local bands played their favourite Canadian tunes for the crowds gathered at the park, while the Healthy Kids Community Challenge committee set up games and activities for kids at the park including foam building blocks, frisbee games, and super-sized baseball.

Day Merrill, Collingwood's poet laureate, and her team were also at the park with a poetry tent encouraging visitors to make their own picture poetry and redacted poems.

The fireworks will light up the sky over the harbour tonight at 10 p.m.
