The Collingwood Blues celebrate a goal during the first period of their March 25 game.

The Collingwood Blues continued their playoff-winning streak with a 10-1 score in their latest match, game three of the second round of Ontario Junior Hockey League playoffs against the Oakville Blades at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena on March 25.

The home game opened with a power play goal two minutes into the first period by Blues' assistant captain Marcus Lougheed.

Not long after, the Blues had back-to-back-to-back goals from Spencer Young at 2:53, Mark McIntosh at 4:23 and Jack Rimmer at 5:59. After the fourth goal in six minutes, the Blades replaced their goalie to try to change the momentum. Mark McIntosh and Dylan Hudon continued the scoring with goals at 13:45 and 16:55 respectively. Landon Wright added one more, scoring a power play goal at 18:57. At the end of the first, the shots on goal were 29 for the Blues and 3 for the Blades.

The second period started out with the same energy, as Captain Dylan Hudon scored on the power play in the opening 30 seconds, followed by a short-handed goal by Jack Silverman at 6:35. Shots on goal at the end of the second period were 45 for the Blues and 14 for Oakville.

In the third period, Marcus Lougheed once again brought the crowd to their feet, as he made the most of a penalty shot following a tripping call.

Blues Nation showed their appreciation to the team as the three stars were named: Mark McIntosh, Landon Wright and Dylan Hudon. The final score was: 10-1.

Congratulations to Player of the Game: Captain Dylan Hudon.

Playoffs follow a best-of-seven model, so if the Blues win Wednesday night in Oakville, that's the end of this round. If Oakville wins, the next game will be in Collingwood.
