Blues goalie picked as OJHL fave a second time this year

The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) announced today that Noah Pak of the Collingwood Blues has been named its Warrior Goaltender of the Month for January.

Pak went 8-0-0 for the nationally-ranked Blues during January, posting a 1.13 goals-against average, a .956 save percentage and three shutouts.

Committed to NCAA DI Yale, the 20-year-old from Oakville leads the league in goals against average (1.19) and save percentage (.948) this season. His 33-4-0-0 record includes 11 shutouts, which set a new OJHL season record.

Pak was also voted OJHL Warrior Goaltender of the Month in October.

Noah will be presented with an OJHL watch from Baron Championship Rings at a Blues home game.

Stephen Toltl of the Stouffville Spirit and Joshua Branton of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens tied for runner-up to Pak as the goaltender-of-the-month in voting by the general managers of the OJHL. 

Toltl, 18, went 4-2-1 during January, posting a 1.91 GAA and .930 save percentage. The native of Binbrook, ON had two shutouts. The first-year OJHLer has gone 13-4-1-0 this season with a 2.05 GAA, which is second only to Pak in the 24-team league.

Branton was 2-0-1 during the month with a 1.09 GAA and .957 save percentage. The 19-year-old from Woodbridge is 14-7-1-2 this season with a 2.59 GAA and .915 save percentage.
