NEWS RELEASE
BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF GREY BRUCE

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey Bruce (BBBSGB), in partnership with former members and supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Georgian Triangle (BBBSGT), are excited to launch the first phase of our expansion into southern Georgian Bay.

Once a vital youth service, BBBSGT unfortunately closed its doors in 2020, leaving 270 children and youth in need of support. At that time, BBBSGB agreed to support some of the matches within the Collingwood region. With the agency receiving ongoing service requests and a growing need for mentorship services within that community, BBBSGB is thrilled to announce our formal expansion campaign.

With the goal of raising $90,000 over the course of 2022, BBBSGB plans to grow our community mentoring programs to reach children and youth within the Collingwood area by 2023 and, over the coming years, expand our programs and services across all of southern Georgian Bay.

As an organization not unfamiliar with growth, Big Brothers Big Sisters Grey Bruce has a history of adapting to the changing needs of the community. We now look to answer that call again.

We know we are bigger together and that expanding our reach means expanding our community of dedicated supporters. Help us reignite mentorship in southern Georgian Bay by supporting and following our campaign.
