Tomorrow morning civic and spiritual care leaders and pastors from the region will gather to share breakfast and hear from an inspirational speaker.
The annual event, running since 2014, is called the Civic Prayer Breakfast of South Georgian Bay, and it was started to offer encouragement and support to the region's civic leaders in government and local public service institutions who serve the community everyday.
The breakfast will be held at Bear Estate at Living Water Resort and Spa on May 5 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. (doors open at 6:30 a.m.).
The theme this year is "Working Together" and the guest speaker is Harold Albrecht, who served as MP for Kitchener-Conestoga from January 2006 to October 2019. He also worked as a pastor and a dentist.
Civic leaders in the community are invited to attend. Tickets usually sell out. They can be purchased online at connectingupward.com.
