Carping about the number of lights on the Collingwood Christmas tree seems petty to me.

Our small community has much to be proud of- a Santa Claus Parade among many other seasonal events.

This year as some people are living in two war-torn countries, we should be grateful for all that we have here: a caring community,  generous people who freely commit to donating and volunteering in Collingwood, and peace in our country.

I, for one, appreciate the effort required to choose and cut down the tree, move it to the main street, decorate it, and arrange for the lights to go on as scheduled. It takes a village.
