NEWS RELEASE
TOWN OF COLLINGWOOD
*************************

The Ontario government has announced that Simcoe Muskoka will be moving into Red - Control zone at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020, under the province's colour-coded COVID-19 safety framework. The restrictions will remain in place for at least 28 days, after which the government will reassess public health measures to determine the zone status.

The Town of Collingwood is asking everyone to follow all required public health measures and public health advice. Our goal is to act responsibly, work together, and we encourage you to continue to support local businesses safely.

Under the province's red-control category, further restrictions have been put in place and we encourage everyone to review these changes to ensure your safety and the safety of others. Please visit the Ministry of Health website at www.ontario.ca/coronavirus and for health-related information, including steps for prevention and self-care, please visit www.simcoemuskokahealth.org.

The town’s critical and essential services, including fire services, drinking water and wastewater treatment, snow clearing, enforcement of priority bylaws, and essential customer services will continue. We are working to update our service offerings to keep the public and staff safer and to comply with the new Red Zone classification.
