NEWS RELEASE
THE TOWN OF BLUE MOUNTAINS
*************************
The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that effective immediately, all town playground structures, athletic fields, tennis courts and the skateboard park are closed for public use.

Closing these amenities is not ideal, but the town feels that these measures must be taken to do our part to “flatten the curve” and protect all users from COVID-19.

The town reminds residents and visitors that the Tomahawk Golf Course and Recreational Area has not opened for the season and will remain closed until further notice. Public washrooms will not be opened, and portable toilets will not be installed. At this time, the Town will be posting a notice at the dog park, reminding residents that public health recommendations must be maintained, including social distancing; otherwise, the dog park will be closed.

The facilities will be re-opened under the advice and direction of the public health unit when it is safe and acceptable to do so.

By-law enforcement and the Ontario Provincial Police will be monitoring all areas.
