Thornbury Farmers' Market has delayed its opening this year until the end of the month.
Previously, Thornbury Farmers' Market announced it was aiming to open May 18.
In a Facebook post, the market's organizers state they've been in discussions with both the town and the local health unit and will delay the market opening until the end of May.
"The market will start off looking different," states the post. "We will be operating online sales through the week for pickup at our usual location and times on Sundays."
The Thornbury Market will be open Sundays from May 31 to Oct. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the park adjacent to The Blue Mountains town hall.
"Hopefully as the summer progresses and restrictions are lifted, we can have a more traditional market, but we want everyone to stay safe and healthy during this unsettled time," states the market's website.
The last update from Collingwood Farmers' Market (May 2) stated the market would not be opening as usual on Victoria Day Weekend, and organizers did not provide a new opening date. Instead, a press release and social media posts indicated "as Ontario returns to a more normal state and if the market can be safely opened, the Collingwood BIA will again welcome everyone back to corner of Second and Pine Streets."
