The Dam Pub in Thornbury has announced a member of its staff has tested positive for COVID-19.

The restaurant posted the notice on its Facebook page, and stated the restaurant will be closed until Oct. 2.

"We have been reassured by the health unit that there is no cause for alarm due to our already existing/current strict COVID policies," noted the Pub's Facebook post. "Any contacts considered at-risk have already been contacted. If you have not been contacted, you are not at risk from exposure at the Pub."

Before today, Grey Bruce Health Unit had confirmed a total of seven COVID-19 cases in The Blue Mountains, and 133 in the Grey Bruce region. As of yesterday, there were four active cases in Grey and Bruce Counties.

The individual's case was reported by the health unit on Saturday, but is not a resident in The Blue Mountains.
