Operation Inspiration skips Collingwood

It's a bird, not a plane because the Snowbirds didn't make it to town today

This formation shows two planes upside down and two right side up in a grouping of four. The Snowbirds’ pilots and aircraft technicians spend the winter months at their home base in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, acquiring and practicing the skills necessary to perform in very demanding positions. The Snowbirds’ show is the result of six months of intensive preparation and training and consists of over fifty different formations and maneuvers. Wasaga Beach Heroes Festival. June 23-24. People (physically distanced) awaiting a glimpse of the famed Canadian Forces Snowbirds during Operation Inspiration walked away disappointed.

The jets were initially delayed, taking off from London about 45 minutes after originally planned, and instead of screaming through the skies over Collingwood they skipped us and headed to Barrie where they circled the city and then headed in for their landing.

Sorry folks.

If you'd like to pretend they were here, you can check out this gallery and video from the 2018 Heroes Festival in Wasaga Beach where the Snowbirds performed.
