The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting an additional 11 lab-confirmed cases in the region today, including one in Collingwood and two in Wasaga Beach.
The new Collingwood case is a man in his 50s whose transmission is still under investigation. He is self-isolating.
In Wasaga Beach, a woman in her 60s tested positive for the virus, and her case is listed as community-acquired. A Wasaga Beach woman in her 70s is also confirmed positive for COVID-19, the transmission of the virus in her case is under investigation. Both women are self-isolating.
Other new cases include four more in Bradford Valley long-term care facility - all women in their 80s and all being isolated at the facility.
There is another case in Barrie - this time a man in his 60s who is self-isolating. The transmission in his case is still under investigation.
The other two cases reported today include an Innisfil man in his 40s and a Bradford man in his 50s, both are cases of community transmission and both are self-isolating.
There are now 185 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Simcoe Muskoka region residents, including 82 recoveries, 57 self-isolating, 23 isolated at Bradford Valley, 10 hospitalized patients and 12 deaths.
The case breakdown for towns and cities in Simcoe County is as follows: Bradford W-G (50), Barrie (45), New Tecumseth (18), Orillia (10), Collingwood (8), Innisfil (6), Springwater (5), Midland (4), Wasaga Beach (6), Oro-Medonte (4), Adjala-Tosorontio (3), Clearview (2), Essa (3), Ramara (2), Tiny (2), Penetanguishene (2) for a total of 170 cases in Simcoe County.
