Anna Schuett - on behalf of the team at Georgian Triangle Humane Society - would like to say thanks to Robin Rafferty, the operations supervisor at the shelter.

Schuett said Rafferty has been taking on extra duties during the pandemic.

"Robin continues to work at the GTHS animal centre to help care for the animals ... she took on the work of her fellow co-workers and her volunteers as they could not be on-site with her," said Schuett.

Rafferty is also taking on extra admin duties like caring for dogs, answering the phones, and coming in on the weekends. She is also fostering animals in need.

"During regular operations, Robin goes above and beyond for the GTHS on a daily basis," said Schuett. "Throughout these unprecedented times, she has, unsurprisingly, stepped it up for the animals in our care. We are so thankful for her commitment and dedication."

CollingwoodToday would like your help in recognizing local essential workers from health care workers, physicians, cashiers and delivery drivers. If you'd like to say thanks to someone you know, please send a photo, their name, their job title, and your words of thanks to [email protected]. Please only send photos and information with permission.
