Glenda Abanes, the care coordinator for Right at Home Georgian Triangle would like to acknowledge the organization's local caregivers and front-line workers.

"Our caregivers mean the world to us and the families of the clients we support," said Abanes. "When the pandemic first hit close to home, a lot of questions were raised on whether or not we could continue providing care for our clients. Because of our hard-working and dedicated staff as well as the safety protocols and use of proper PPE we have initiated, we are able to continue caring for those in need. Our caregivers receive regular check-ins to see how they are feeling both mentally and physically. During these challenging times, we realize the importance of safeguarding the mental wellness of our staff to make sure they are ready to face the days ahead. Constant communication and transparency with our team is how our local office is getting through this pandemic."

CollingwoodToday would like your help in recognizing local essential workers from health care workers, physicians, cashiers and delivery drivers. If you'd like to say thanks to someone you know, please send a photo, their name, their job title, and your words of thanks to [email protected]. Please only send photos and information with permission.
