Thomas Stubbington is proud of his mother Kathleen Stubbington an essential worker and cashier at Esso in Collingwood.

"She always gives her all when it comes to her job," said Thomas. "During this time, she's been going above and beyond her already inspiring work ethic. She always has customers smiling as they leave her store, regardless of how their day went and especially during these difficult times. She always has a smile on her face."

Thomas said his mom has earned the nickname "Mama Kat" because of her kindness, compassion, and love.

"During these trying times she stays committed to her job and, more importantly, committed to serving her community in any way she can," said Thomas.

CollingwoodToday would like your help in recognizing local essential workers from health care workers, physicians, cashiers and delivery drivers. If you'd like to say thanks to someone you know, please send a photo, their name, their job title, and your words of thanks to [email protected]. Please only send photos and information with permission.
