Collingwood Transit is now running on reduced hours.

The Town of Collingwood announced today local buses would be following the Sunday schedule for all seven days of the week.

Currently, transit is free as the town is not accepting cash fares, paper transfers, or transit taps.

Passengers are also being asked to board and exit the bus via the back doors and to maintain distance from each other and the driver.

“Collingwood Transit should only be used for essential travel,” urges the town in its notices online.

People who are experiencing symptoms of illness are asked not to board any bus.

Passengers with accessibility needs can use the front doors for boarding and exiting, but are asked to maintain physical separation from bus operators.

This change is in place until at least April 5, 2020.
